Its cardioid pattern reduces background noise in the periphery and focuses on the sound in front of the camera to capture clear directional sound.

The microphone is battery-free, plug-and-play, and comes with camera/smartphone cables for your choice. It provides a windproof sponge foam and a furry windshield to reduce ambient noise when used in outdoor scenarios. Simorr Wave S1 also comes standard with a hard-wearing and stable U-shaped shock mount, which reduces unwanted vibrations when recording.
